lll. What is forgiveness?

1. We do not seek revenge. Romans 12:19
2. We wish them no harm. 1 Thessalonians 5:15
3. We wish them well. Luke 6:28
4. We do not laugh at their troubles. Proverbs 24:17
5. We pray for our enemies. Matthew 5:44
6. We try to be reconciled. Romans 12:18
7. We help them out when they need help. Exodus 23:4.
8. We must have a forgiving heart. Matthew 18:35

lV. What forgiveness is not.

1. It is not the absence of anger
2. It is not the absence of serious consequences .
