Bible Verse Challenge – Summary

We have not had Sunday school for 10 weeks! Each week Mrs. Anna has been selecting a Bible verse for children and youth to memorize. She has encouraged parents to help the children and youth to “Hide the Word in Their hearts.” Here are the verses:
1. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
2. Psalm 56:3, “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.”
3. Proverbs 15:1, “A soft answer turneth away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger.”
4. Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
5. Exodus 20:12, ‘Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.”
6. Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”
7. Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
8. Ephesians 2:8, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.”
9. Galatians 5:22, 23, “But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance; against such there is no law.”
10. Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding.’
