Day 1
Know Your Guide
Galatians 4:4-5, Luke 2:8-11, Matthew 4:23-25, 1 Corinthians 15:3-5
Today’s Point:
Jesus is our Guide. Our journey begins with Him when we trust Jesus as our Savior.
Christ Connection:
Jesus is God’s Son, sent to earth from heaven. Jesus never did anything wrong, but He was punished because we sinned. God forgives us for sin because Jesus died for us. God raised Jesus from the dead to be King over everything and to offer us eternal life.
Day 2
Follow Your Guide
Daniel 1
Today’s Point:
Daniel chose to obey God no matter what. God wants us to follow our Guide, Jesus.
Christ Connection:
Daniel chose to obey God no matter what. Jesus obeyed God perfectly and always pleases God. We please God when we trust Jesus.
Day 3
Trust Your Guide
Daniel 3
Today’s Point:
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego trusted that God’s way was the best way regardless of their circumstances. Jesus wants us to trust Him, just as these three men trusted God.
Christ Connection:
Only God could rescue Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fire. Jesus is the only One who can save us from our sin. Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross provided the way for us to be rescued and have eternal life.
Day 4
Stay on Track
Daniel 6
Today’s Point:
No matter what changed around Daniel, he kept his focus on God who never changes. Jesus wants us to focus on Him by daily following Him.
Christ Connection:
God showed His power to rescue Daniel from the lions. God ultimately rescues us from a much bigger problem—sin and death—through His Son, Jesus.
Day 5
Keep Watching
Daniel 10:7-12; 12:13, John 14:1-4, Revelation 22:7
Today’s Point:
Just like Daniel, our journey is part of a much bigger story. God gave Daniel a promise of things to come. God has promised to complete our journey with Him through His Son, Jesus.
Christ Connection:
Jesus promised to come back to earth soon. When He returns, those who trust in Him will be with Him forever.
